While it's true that some people time themselves to do a puzzle, a Bank Holiday puzzle is something to be savored... No matter how much time you put into it, the aim is to enjoy this moment of relaxation. However, if you're looking for a few tips on how to make your jigsaw puzzle time a pleasure, we're happy to share them with you!

1- Sorting is key

Start with the simplest: the edges. The idea is to start with the most easily identifiable straight-edged pieces. To be methodical, you can go through all the pieces, one by one, from one container to another, just to make sure you don't miss a single one. For this first step, the brain is quickly put on pause - and what a good thing that is!

2- Every detail becomes an ally...

If you're not a great puzzler, keep the visual in front of you, it's ok! Puzzles are a game of observation. Look for the most obvious details in the illustration: an element of a particular color, an object, a straight line, for example. Immerse yourself fully in all the little things that will help you move forward. Gather all the pieces that make up these little details and put them together. Your puzzle begins to take shape!

3- By color

We advise you to choose an area where the color or pattern is found nowhere else. If you're tackling a flat area of color, sort the pieces by shade or gradient. On the other hand, if you're faced with a large monochrome expanse, it's wiser to sort by shape. Don't be afraid to spread out! And if necessary, use trays that can be stacked. Sorting may seem a bit time-consuming, but it will save you time later on.

4- Patience at a dead end

Let's not forget that the puzzle is a puzzle. So yes, sometimes it gets stuck... But don't panic! Taking a step back helps you see things more clearly. A little patience... Do you have enough light to see the nuances? How about a cup of coffee? Change the music, dance... Why not? It's better to let your puzzle rest and pick it up again later! The answer will be there!

Enjoy the puzzle!
