An obvious brand name. A public holiday is a gift from the calendar, a breath of fresh air in a week, the promise of a bridge or a long weekend. In short, a public holiday is always welcome. Like our puzzles! They're a break from the daily grind. Little moments of escape where time slows down.
So it's a bit like running a marathon. It depends on whether you're a champion, an experienced runner or a beginner!
Let's say that for an "average" level, alone, sorting can take between 30 minutes and 1 hour, and assembling between 2 and 6 hours (without a break!). For more details, read our blog post " Average time to assemble a puzzle "!
But the pleasure doesn't come from the stopwatch, but rather from the time spent assembling. A few pieces here, a few pieces there - it's fun to take your time, too!
L'Orée du Matin will make you sweat with its white sheet! La Neige qui Tombe is full-bodied with purplish nuances.
The green landscape in Room with a View is beautiful but... quite hard to sort and assemble 😈.
Après la Pluie is also a great challenge!
If you like difficulty, these 4 models should please you 🌶️.
If you're on the fence, you can start with a 500-piece! Less sorting, more convenience!
And on the 1,000-piece side, Le Retour du Marché is a great puzzle to start with, as is Regarder les Gens. But if you're reading this, believe us: the joy of finishing your puzzle will only be greater if the puzzle is hard. Dare to be difficult!
How much time do you have? Because there's no shortage of good reasons to do a jigsaw puzzle - there are so many benefits to this activity! But let's talk about the 2 main benefits: relaxation and brain health.
Doing a puzzle puts you in a state of flow, that moment when you're completely absorbed in an activity and time stands still. Concentrated, you stop thinking about your phone and notifications. A moment of digital detox that does you a world of good! It's relaxation in lots of little pieces.
But puzzles are also great for brain health. Memorizing shapes, reconstituting the design, meditative time... the brain needs this intellectual stimulation as much as it needs moments of calm. Puzzles are the perfect combination of the two. A slow, stimulating activity for a happy brain.

We don't have a Jour Férié store, but we do have lots of great partner stores selling our puzzles in France and Europe. Here's a list of our retailers!
Yes, of course, you have 14 days to return your puzzle!
However, if it's a gift and you're not sure, consider a gift voucher! After all, we're very careful about our carbon footprint, and going back and forth isn't going in the right direction!
Yes, if you're not sure, or if you're looking for a last-minute idea, we offer gift cards starting at €30. And for the more addicted (especially cephaloclastophiles), the amount can go up to €100!
For Metropolitan France, we deliver within 3 to 4 working days.
We deliver throughout Europe and North America.
You're right to ask, because we're asking ourselves the same question! When Jour Férié was launched in 2020, we never thought our puzzles would cross borders. They were proudly made and delivered in France. Since then, requests have been pouring in from partner stores, customers in Europe and even the USA!
For far-flung destinations that cannot be distributed by land, we are considering responsible solutions: grouped orders, minimum quantities, etc., even if this means fewer sales.
The most important thing is that we remain true to our commitments.
Our visuals are designed to appeal to grown-ups! From experience, little ones prefer illustrations that evoke their favorite cartoon or passion of the moment (dinosaur, pony, Snow Queen to name but a few). But many of you puzzle as a family, and children love to do a "grown-up" puzzle with their parents. It's a source of pride to be shared!
From day one, we have set ourselves demanding specifications: all our collections must be made in France, without plastic, and with responsible materials, recycled, recyclable and/or from sustainably managed sources.
0% plastic is a real challenge in the puzzle world. You don't always think about it, but a conventional puzzle is full of plastic. The pretty, shiny box is coated with a thin layer of plastic, and so are the pieces (the plastic shines and makes for a more "solid" puzzle, with the pieces holding together). And very often, all the pieces are packaged in a small plastic bag. Handy for manufacturers, who avoid loss along the way.
At Jour Férié, we didn't give up and worked hand in hand with our partner to bring to life a 0 plastic, but very strong product!
